Privacy Policy
Last updated September 7, 2026
This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to lifeafterdogma.org. It does not cover clinical records, which are governed separately by California law and by the policies of Q Psychology Group.
What is collected
When you use the contact form. Your name, email address, the option you select, and your message. This is used only to reply to you and is stored in the website database and sent to andrew@lifeafterdogma.org.
When you subscribe. Your email address, held by MailerLite so that new articles can be sent to you. You can unsubscribe from any email.
When you comment on a blog post. Your name, email address, and comment, plus your IP address for spam filtering by Akismet.
Automatically, as you browse. Standard analytics about pages visited, approximate location, device and browser, collected through Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, and through Jetpack Stats. A Meta (Facebook) pixel is also present and may record which pages you visit on this site.
A note about the pages on religious trauma
The educational pages on this site cover specific and sometimes sensitive subjects. Analytics and the Meta pixel record the addresses of pages visited, which means a third party may be able to associate a browser with an interest in a particular topic. If you would rather that did not happen, browsing in a private window, using a tracker-blocking extension, or enabling Do Not Track will prevent most of it. Nothing on this site requires you to identify yourself in order to read.
What is not done
Your information is not sold. It is not shared with anyone except the service providers named above, who process it on this site’s behalf. No advertising is sold on this site.
How long it is kept
Contact form entries and comments are kept until they are no longer needed. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s and Jetpack’s own retention settings. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing andrew@lifeafterdogma.org. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you these rights explicitly, including the right not to be treated differently for exercising them.
Cookies
Cookies are used for basic site function, analytics, and the services named above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
